As the Rheumatologist, Allergist, and Immunologist at the Medical and Surgical Clinic of Irving, Dr. Renuka Basavaraju specializes in diagnosing and providing relief from chronic conditions such as allergies, asthma, and other rheumatic diseases. She has been with the Irving Clinic since 2005, having initially served as an internist. From 2005 to 2008, she participated in a dual fellowship in Rheumatology, Allergy, and Immunology at the Kansas University Medical Center, before returning to Irving and the Clinic in 2008.
Dr. Basavaraju received her M.B.B.S. degree from the Osmania Medical College in Hyderabad, India. Over the next few years, Dr. Basavaraju participated in a number of internships and residencies, including internships and residences in Internal Medicine at Osmania General Hospital and at University of Virginia’s Roanoke-Salem Program. In 1996, she served as the chief resident in Internal Medicine at the University of Virginia.
