An expert pediatrician in Irving, Texas, Dr. Joan P. Kay loves helping young children feel better – and giving their families a much-needed peace of mind. Dr. Kay has been serving families in the Irving community since 2000 as a part of the Medical and Surgical Clinic of Irving.
After graduating from Texas A&M University, she earned her medical degree at UT Southwestern Medical School. She completed both her internship and residency in Pediatrics at the University of Tennessee, where she earned the Kevin Robert Swabe Pediatric Residency award in 1998. After becoming board certified in Pediatrics, Dr. Kay joined the Medical and Surgical Clinic of Irving. She has privileges with Children’s Medical Center of Dallas and Baylor Medical Center at Irving.
Dr. Kay is happily married, and the couple has two children. Her greatest joys come from helping her young patients, gardening, photography and cooking.
