With a specialty in radiology, Dr. Susan Straten specializes in reading medical imaging to facilitate treating diseases. A member of the Medical and Surgical Clinic of Irving since 1999, Dr. Straten is an active member in both the field of medicine and in her community.
She began her medical education at the University of Health Sciences in Kansas City, Missouri, after completing her undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin. After her time at the University of Health Sciences, Dr. Straten attended the internship program at the Dallas Ft. Worth Medical Center in Grand Prairie. She then participated in the diagnostics radiology residency programs at the Osteopathic Medical Center of Texas, Texas Children’s Hospital, and at the University of Missouri.
Dr. Straten is a member of the American College of Radiology, the American Roentgen Ray Society, American Osteopathic Association, American medical Association, and the Tarrant County Medical Society.
