Family Doctors in Irving | Cristina Valdez, MD

A family practice physician, Dr. Cristina V. Valdez has a broad knowledge and skill set that she utilizes to treat a wide variety of illnesses and conditions. A special interest in diabetes care and prevention, Dr. Valdez has a diverse background, making her a capable and professional physician.

Dr. Valdez started her medical school education at the Autonomus University of Guadalajara, Mexico. She then participated in the internship program at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana, which involved social service work in Albarca, Jalisco, Mexico. After completing her internship program, she traveled to Houston, Texas, and joined St. Joseph’s Hospital, where she would later become a medical assistant. While in Houston, she completed a neurology externship at Methodist Hospital before leaving Houston and joining the Family Practice Program at Baylor College of Medicine.

After working for INOVA-Coppell, the Diaz Clinic, and the Valdez Clinic, she joined the Medical and Surgical Clinic of Irving in 2009, where she has been practicing family medicine ever since.
